BioFuel Oasis New Location: 1441 Ashby Ave, Berkeley

New Pump Canopy

The BioFuel Oasis is moving in the Fall of 2008 and biodiesel will be readily accessible like never before:

  • Our new location is at a charming old gas station at the corner of Ashby & Sacramento in Berkeley. It has pull-through access, is at a prominent intersection, and is close to the I-80 corridor.
  • Four cars will be able to fill up at once at two different pumps. We are planning to be open 10am – 6pm six days per week.
  • Our pumps will be available from 7am – midnight daily through an automated cardlock system that accepts credit cards.
  • Our biodiesel will continue to be high quality, meeting all ASTM standards, and will be made from recycled vegetable oil.
  • Our pumps will be powered by solar panels, our store will sell urban farming supplies, and we will break up pavement to grow California native plants.

Please consider donating $100 and become a biodiesel solutionary!

The BioFuel Oasis is truly a community effort. Our current pump was made possible by founding member donations and sweat and labor put in by the biodiesel community. In return, we provide a place for the biodieselers to hang out, make biodiesel made from recycled vegetable oil available, and bring more people into the biodiesel community through education and outreach. We are continuing in this spirit for our new location.

To make our new location at 1441 Ashby a reality, we need to raise $250K for the basic equipment and construction. We have applied for grants and loans, but are asking for community and local business help as well.

Biodiesel Solutionary - $100
Your donation will go directly towards the equipment for our new location. We love the idea of many people giving just a little. It becomes a community effort where everyone feels like they’ve contributed.
